Maker Foundations Aide

​

We are seeking volunteers to help aide our Program Coordinator and Program Specialist with our Maker Foundations cohort. The program is an introductory course for middle and high school youth. Enjoy 14 weeks of exploration into emerging technology topics where you will design and 3D print your own creations, learn to program games and make your own game artwork, make a website, create interactive electronics, and much more!

 

Dates:

Hours: 

- 3:00pm-6pm 

 

Ideal Skills Needed:

- Basic Knowledge of Computers  

- Basic Knowledge in 2D & 3D Design    

- Basic Knowledge Game Development 

 

Sample Tasks Include: 

 - Aid youth in learning new tools, identifying resources & researching solutions to create projects of interest

- Organize and prepare materials, content equipment, and space to foster a positive learning and work environment

- Overseeing afterschool snack for youth (Food Training will be provided)
